A couple weeks ago I spent my lunch break watching my son’s kids so he could take his wife out to lunch. While they were gone my 1-year-old granddaughter brought my shoes over to me as I sat on the couch. Next she pulled my coat off the banister & drug it over. Then she stepped back & waved bye-bye to me. I can take a hint, but her parents weren’t back yet so I had to stay anyway.

You & I enjoy being helpful to others; so does the Lord. I can say that God wants to help you until I’m blue in the face but until you take Him at His word nothing will change. Pick an area of your life that has been giving you trouble: sleep, a relationship, a struggle at work, etc. Make it a matter of serious prayer this morning then keep your spiritual ears open for advice & counsel from the Lord. Be willing to change the way you think & the things you do rather than just blaming circumstances or the actions of others. Claim the promises found in today’s text & approach God’s throne with confidence expecting grace to help you overcome your obstacle.
